They give us all this work and don’t give us the time to explore; they limit our options trying to force a passion that is not there. They want us to study business because that would help the economy. They want us study medicine so that people are safe and so that society doesn't fall apart. But do they ever give you other options?
As a teenager, we do everything we are told to do without thinking about it because we were born into this society; we have to grow into this fact and it becomes normality in our daily life. Society has grown so much that this is a part of life. You get to control others when you’re older, but until then others will control you.
Is it right to give privileges depending on age? Are we not limiting innovation by restricting people due to their age?
Imagine the possibilities that could arise with teenage entrepreneurs. What if we gave teenagers or children a chance to build what they want to build? What if we just allowed them to fail and get back up to try again. What if we gave them freedom?
Every day this “modern world” gets closer and closer to an empire state of mind where everyone is a ruler of someone. What I mean by this is that now a days everyone wants to have power they want to control other people. This is why parents control children why society controls parents and so on. Everyone is ruled by someone whether we like it or not.
Although this is happening, there is a discrete revolution against it. The revolution begins with those that do things because they want to instead of because they were told to.
Let's go back to the idea of school; Society has stuck this equation in our head
Elementary<Middle school<High school<University<Profession<Family<Death
This is the real American dream this is what we are told to do. But what if we forgot about this “equation” and ran our own way what if we didn’t even make and equation what if we made life. Imagine the place we could go imagine how a teenager could perceive the way a business is run and see a way to improve on it unlike a 75-year old business owner would.
The reason none of this happens it's because society is scared they are scared because they do not trust us like I said before they believe we are incompetent. There have seen so many stories of us wasting our time. So what do we need to do we need to show society that our generation can strive as “youngsters” so that our children will not have to do something because they are told to? North America calls them a free country. In what sense is a child free if it is illegal for him not to go to school I could understand this mythology in the past but now there are so many other ways to educate yourself the university the internet ahs opened millions of door for society. It's just the misuse of it. If this generation showed society that even at the age of 13 you can change the world. Our children will be free to explore opportunities that maybe have never been touched because of the strict regime of school. I am not saying to take school away as one. But let's think of another way to educate children.
If I could say anything to my generation I would tell them. Life begins at then of your comfort zone. Because life is when you are passionate about something you do. We were all born for a reason and that reason is always going to be a better person in any sense and no one will arrive in life if we are stuck in our comfort zone. Being in our comfort zone has taken away the autonomy from us that society could give us. We cannot change the world without a revolution. This revolution must begin now, but it will never start if we have teenagers slacking off. I do not mean slacking off at school I mean slacking off at life. Let's pull it together and find what we are passionate about and pursue this.
School is good for some but not for all. I, for example, do not believe is my fit but I do not believe that I am fit to learn by myself or am I. it a question we should all ask ourselves. Society has told me to go to college and if you don’t most people would shun you in a way. This equation has been stuck in our head that those who depart from it are now crazy. There are people that depart from them and success but these people to society are called exceptions. I don’t believe in exceptions.
Society has stuck this equation into my head that I feel the need to go to college. It is true that not everyone is fit to depart from society's equation, but the ones that depart are not exceptions they just think differently its a different state of mind. I might not have it. We all have to realize how we study best and if the college doesn't fit then why bother
Do as you wish not as you are told. It's your life. It's your personality. We don’t all fit together that’s why there are different social groups but school deny having different learning groups because they are caught up with separation being bad.
Let stop doing as we are told and make our own path, not the one that has been set for us.
