Willie yelled “Is Lucia coming down?” but there was no response. The waterfall screened any sound directed in our direction. The three of us patiently waited for Lucia to finally descend to get on our way to the restaurant. We were starving. We were hoping that Lucia wouldn’t get scared like the last time, when she thought she was about to die.
Then all of a sudden the rope was being pulled up. So we headed back to the car thinking she was no longer coming down. When we arrived people asked where Lucia was. We were puzzled and knowing how scared she gets, without hesitation I was on my way back. As I ran the gear pulled my body down disabling me to run at my full potential. As I rushed through the river I wished there weren’t as many rocks slowing me down. I yelled for her and received nothing in return. To make things worst the clouds and trees were blocking the sun from me. “LUCIA” I yelled, impatiently. When I arrived she was nowhere to be found. I couldn’t come to my senses of what was going on. A cold sensation traveled through my body fearing she was in the water. I jumped in the water so quickly and without precision that I hit my head on the rocks in the river (luckily my helmet still on). Discovering, the river was merely 3 feet deep, I knew she couldn’t have drowned. My eyes watered of the relief, however I was still frantic to know where she was. There was only one way to the car so there was no other way she could have gone. I feel someone looking my way so I turn back and am faced with three teachers staring above me. I turn to look in the direction they’re looking and spot Lucia. Finally! I was alleviated as can be after seeing she was okay. She had taken so long because she was frightened and unable to hear over the pounding water.
I always considered myself to be an optimist person however the situation I was in blinded me and I could only see negative outcomes.
Seek to find the good in all things and I guarantee you most times things will result in your favor. However, when you think negative thoughts you attract negative results. The Law Of Attraction is key to everyday life. Follow it and you won’t endure unnecessary bad moments like I did with Lucia.
